All the chicken producers we use practice free run operations for their poultry. Here is a definition from a sample producer;

"Our Chicken & Turkey are grown as free run. We don’t use cages or small pens nor are they confined only to small coops. Our flocks are all raised in safe, comfortable barns with extra space to roam freely and be better protected from disease and other external threats such as migratory birds or predators."
